The kickoff meeting for medical tr.AI.ning was launched on May 16, 2022 - the first joint meeting in presence after numerous virtual meetings since the beginning of the BMBF-funded project. The Saarland hosts CHELM and UMTL had invited all other project partners from Saarland (HBKsaar) and Münster (IfAS, FH Münster, CVMLS) to the Campus Homburg of Saarland University.
All participants of the joint project started with curiosity and excitement into the meeting on the morning of May 16. The first focus after the welcome was getting to know each other personally and exchanging ideas. The participants introduced themselves personally to the other participants beyond their role in the project.
The agenda also included a visit to the new lecture hall, seminar and library building of the Medical Faculty at the Homburg Campus: In the further course of the project, the testing of the developed virtual reality scenarios by the medical students from Saarland is planned in its premises. Simultaneously, this will take place at the Medical Faculty Münster in the premises of the LIMETTE building. A tour of the Skills Lab and the SIM Hospital provided additional insight into how medical teaching can be enhanced for students with further possibilities of simulations.
